5G Support Added To OnePlus 10 Pro Just At The Right Time It Went On Sale In The US

Finally, the OnePlus 10 Pro went on sale in the US this week after it was launched only in China in January. However, the device wasn’t allowed to use Verizon’s 5G services. The issue has been rectified now, just in time for people that bought to receive their phones.

The OnePlus 10 Pro will be the latest device of OnePlus to get certification to access Verizon’s 5G network, according to XDA no Developers. The device will also be able to access Verizon’s C-Band 5G, which functions on the 3.7 to 4.2GHz spectrum.

More About The 5G Support Added To OnePlus 10 Pro

C-band 5G went live in January, together with AT&T and VZW. Because the mid-band 5G spectrum finds the perfect balance between the signal range and speed, it is being rolled out to more devices and cities — in the denser areas of the U.S e especially.

Nonetheless, the OnePlus 10 Pro won’t allow the superfast millimeter wave (mmWave) network. Having such would’ve been nice but when concerning the Technology and how it’s short-ranged and also because Verizon hasn’t released it to so many locations, a small number of people would miss the lack of support.

Since the VZW certification is out of the way, the OnePlus 10 Pro functions now on Verizon 5G and T-Mobile. However, we can’t say the same for AT&T because the device is not expected to get certification for the 5G service of the carrier. So those subscribing to AT&T may want to find an alternative if they really want 5G.

The OnePlus 10 Pro comes to the US having a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC but its storage of 8GB of RAM and 128GB are lower than that of the OnePlus 9 Pro launched last year.

Still, the battery capacity was increased from 4500mAh to 5000mAh, and the charging is kept at 65W wired and 50W wireless speeds , making it really fast. The 80W wired charging is kept aside for international markets.

The OnePlus 10 Pro has a new fitted ultra-wide camera that offers a 150 degree of view. This allows it to take photos that are wider by four times compared to those captured with the 120 degree ultra-wide cameras seen on other smartphones. The increased field of view coming from the ultra-wide camera of the OnePlus Pro empowers creativity and allows you to capture more amazing photos in every shot.

The Hasselblad Pro Mode that is available on the OnePlus 10 Pro supports capture in 12-bit RAW on all three rear cameras, which is also complete with Hasselblad Natural Color Solution for Mobile.

In addition to that, this mode supports a new, empowered RAW mode that is called RAW+. This mode, RAW+ allows you to capture in 12-bit RAW while still retaining the OnePlus 10 Pro’s computational photography to deliver higher quality photo files, having more information, improved dynamic range, and improved noise reduction.

Then there is the Movie Mode that debuts on the OnePlus 10 Pro. This mode allows you to adjust parameters such as shutter speed, ISO and white balance before and during filming. Going further, Movie Mode lets you to record in a LOG format without making the pre-set picture profile mandatory and that provides you with a blank canvas for color grading after footage has been captured.
