Google’s mapping tool (3D) which is available on desktop or mobile application has added a 4th dimension. With the help of the timelapse videos, you can also see about 24 million satellite photos that are from the past 37 years and assembled together to show a different view of the world.
Several Timelapse videos which include the Cape Cod coast moving southward or Columbia Glacier in Alaska which have been retreating over the years. some show farms Been developed in Saudi Arabia or in the suburban sprawl that has taking over the Las Vegas desert.
The Google Earth functioned with NASA and also with the U.S. Geological Survey and also the European Union’s Copernicus program to receive and use satellite imagery and satellite data to create a fuller picture of the planet Earth from 1980’s through 2020. The program has analyzed over millions of images that would’ve taken a single computer 228 years to process, but instead took a few days.
