Most people are never targeted by attacks of this nature.
When iPhone is in Lockdown Mode, it will not function as it typically does.
Apps, websites, and features will be strictly limited for security, and some experiences will be completely unavailable.
Any hacker that successfully succeed to hack the Lockdown Mode, gets a mouth watering 2 million dollars.

The major reason why Apple is giving out whopping $2 million to anyone who hacks the lockdown mode is to specifically inform the manufacturer necessary information in regards vulnerabilities and weaknesses of the Lockdown Mode.
However, this applies of the hacking is successful, before the hacker gets the rewarded with $2 million.
Furthermore, Lockdown Mode is an extremely secured security protection mode that should be activated if a user suspects his or her iPhone device has malware installed.
This lockdown mode will surely protect the user from hacking, surveillance and identity theft.
Whenever this lockdown mode is enabled, apparently all apps and web services on the iPhone will not be accessible, users will definitely not be able to open links and photos from unauthorised users.
Note that, the Lockdown mode will be officially available for developers to test this summer, with an official release coming anytime soon.
