The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is the recent addition to the renowned M lineup of the brand mid-range smartphones. Also, it is the first device in the M series to have a 108MP camera.

For quite some time, Samsung has been delaying the release of the Samsung Galaxy M53 in India. Now, the smartphone has been released officially. The phone will be made available for sale through Samsung.com and Amazon.in.

Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G in India and it comes in different colors, which are Green, Brown and Blue. In the country, the 6GB RAM model is priced at Rs 23,999 and the 8GB model is priced at Rs 25,999.

 

Just like the predecessor of Samsung Galaxy M53 5G, Samsung Galaxy M52, sports an Infinity-O display on the front of the device. The new device has a centrally aligned punch-hole cutout also, which is for the selfie camera.

The Galaxy M53 operates on the Dimensity 900 SoC, joined with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and internal storage of 128GB. For its class, the display of the device is particularly impressive , having a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED with 1080 x 2408px resolution and it also supports a refresh rate of 120Hz.

It is interesting to know that the fingerprint reader is positioned on the side of the frame and not under the display. It is a rare sighting to have a fingerprint reader mounted at the side of the phone with an OLED display.

Also, the camera setup is more than decent. The main camera is 108MP, f/1.8 paired with the standard 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide unit and there are two more 2MP sensors – one of them is used for macro shots while the other is used for depth sensing. The punch-hole located on the display is kept aside for a 32MP, f/2.2 shooter.

All the hardware it comprises draws power from the 5,000 mAh battery which supports 25W fast charging, that is above the Power Delivery 3.0 standard. One UI 4.1 comes with the Galaxy M53 already installed on top of Android 12.

One of the most notable features of the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is the 1080 MP primary camera sensor. As it has been said previously, this device is the first Galaxy M series smartphone that has such a huge sensor. Also, it includes an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 2 MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. The phone gets a 32 MP selfie camera on the front. It is quite surprising that the front and rear cameras of the Galaxy M53 5G will both enable 4K video recording at 30 frames per second (fps).

The Galaxy M53 is made available in two colors which is Green and Blue. The one with configuration of 6GB starts at INR 26,499 but early bird buyers can purchase one for INR 23,999. On the other hand, the one with 8GB configuration will be sold for INR 25,999 in the start and will be raised to INR 28,499 later on. The actual start of sales will begin on the 29th of April.
